What is SCOVT?
Lots of people send CVs. The hard part is knowing who will really fit.
SCOVT is a recruitment platform for companies tired of interviews that lead nowhere. Instead of opening a role to everyone and sorting through CVs yourself, your company describes the role and how your team works, and SCOVT's science-driven matching engine checks whether a person and your company would work well together before anyone books an interview. And an experienced recruiter we call a Scout talks to each candidate, checks the human side of the match, and presents you only the people who really fit.
Fit is checked before you run interviews
SCOVT compares what the person and your company each need — how your team works, not just a CV against a job title — before you run any interviews.
You see why someone fits
Results are explainable, not a black-box score. SCOVT shows you what matched, what did not, and what is still worth discussing before you spend time interviewing.
For companies
SCOVT is a recruitment platform, now in development, to help companies and recruiters find the right working fit between a candidate and a company, not just the right CV. It combines a science-driven matching engine with experienced recruiters called Scouts.
For a company, that means you describe the role and how your team works, and SCOVT's matching engine checks candidates against what your company actually needs — not just a CV against a job title. A Scout then checks the result with both sides.
- What you do
- Describe the role and how your team works.
- Where a Scout helps
- A Scout talks to each candidate, checks the human side of the match, and presents you only the people who really fit.
- What you get
- A shortlist with a clear picture of each person — what matches, what does not, and what is still worth discussing — before you spend time interviewing.
Planned. The service is not open yet.
How SCOVT is different
Lots of people send CVs. The hard part is knowing who will really fit.
- Not another AI screening tool that ranks CVs by keywords and job titles SCOVT compares how the person prefers to work with your company's culture and established practices — for example, how decisions get made or how feedback is given — and explains how to read the result: where they match, where they differ, and what to discuss before hiring.
- Not a job board or LinkedIn You do not sort through applicants by hand: SCOVT shows you who fits and why.
- Not another agency sending CVs SCOVT checks the working fit before you run interviews, and a Scout talks to both sides.
For recruiters
SCOVT is a recruitment platform, now in development, to help companies and recruiters find the right working fit between a candidate and a company, not just the right CV. It combines a science-driven matching engine with experienced recruiters called Scouts.
For a recruiter, SCOVT is a place to work company roles as a Scout, with matching tools that let you show a company why someone fits, not only that they are qualified.
- Where the work comes from
- Companies come to SCOVT for hires where the fit really counts, so your next role does not depend only on clients you find yourself.
- What you work with
- SCOVT's science-driven matching tools, which compare both sides of a match and explain the result, so your judgment starts from better information.
- What you keep
- The majority of the placement fee — the fee the company pays for the hire — more than half of it, with invoicing support.
Planned. The service is not open yet.
How SCOVT is different
- Not a job board Companies post roles for Scouts to work, not ads for anyone to apply to.
- Not an agency desk You work for yourself and keep the majority of the placement fee.
- Not a CV-forwarding service You are paid for judging fit, with tools to back it up.
Why SCOVT has Scouts
In professional sport, a scout does not just ask whether a player is good, but whether they are right for this team — and whether this team is right for the player. SCOVT brings that idea to work: the company is the team, the person brings skills, goals and a way of working, and the Scout looks at the relationship between them.
Scouts use analytics to see where a person fits best.
Not just how good someone is, but where they play best, and in which team.
The team of the best players is not the best team.
Stars who do not fit together lose to a side that does. A team of the best CVs works the same way.
There is no bad person. There is a bad fit.
The same person can struggle in one company and thrive in another.
Who are SCOVT Scouts?
- A Scout is an experienced recruiter with their own network of candidates and long-term relationships with them — not a generalist in-house recruiter or a traditional agency.
- Scouts are chosen using SCOVT's own analytics and matching approach, overseen by a seasoned HR professional on our board. A formal certification programme is an idea for later, not something we are committing to yet.
- When a company wants a Scout's help, it picks one from a list showing their track record and area of expertise, and works with them directly.
- A Scout works with a candidate through the whole process — understanding their expectations, seeing where they fit, preparing them, and staying in touch after they are hired.
- Companies rate the Scouts they work with, and that score is visible across the platform. A Scout's pay is also tied to how the placement turns out, not just to making it.
- Long-term retention — the person staying and doing well — is the goal we are building the Scout's incentives around. We do not have data to show on this yet.
